Special Thanks to the Bike Night Crew
Wonderful Community & Thank You
Dear Harley Club Members:
I want to thank you for participating in Hot Chicks Night on October 21st in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It was fun to see this fun-loving group of women hold this event for the second year in a row and raise $834.50. Truly amazing and humbling, really. Thank you so much for supporting their event and the cause.
The Humboldt Community Breast Health Project is the only local resource dedicated to assisting women (& men) with breast and gynecologic cancer. I wish there were other organizations like ours to help people with other cancers or chronic diseases. Although breast cancer is so common and researchers have made breakthoughs in cancer treatments, it's still cancer and turns peoples lives upside down when they are faced with it. Our volunteers and staff have walked the cancer journey themselves -- they listen, understand, support and provide whatever information and assistance they can. Our services are free and we are not part of any other organization -- so we rely on all the incredibly generous donations from community members like you.
Our office is a sweet little house (we sometimes call it "the clubhouse"), located near the Arcata Co-Op on the corner of 8th & J Streets. If you ever want to stop by to check it out. We would love to meet you. Thank you so much for participating in Hot Chicks Night!
Best regards,
